Umbro Cup Brazil (2011 Select team)

Step into one of youth soccer’s most competitive environments. The Umbro Cup is an invite-only tournament featuring 30+ Brazilian professional club academies. This is a rare pathway for U.S.-based players to compete, be seen, and be evaluated by top-level coaches and scouts in Brazil.

Who’s eligible? Players born in 2011-2013 (U15-U13) — field players and goalkeepers.

Club-neutral: You do not have to be a GGS player to be selected.

Our GGS Global Showcase selection is hosted in collaboration with Azuriz FC, a respected Brazilian club known for professional development and pathways. The partnership supports:

Registration for the Umbro Cup Tournament through Azuriz FC
Team Selection collaboration (Azuriz FC and GGS athletes)
Access to quality training facilities and match environments
Mentorship from Brazilian staff and exposure to their methodology
On-ground logistics support for a smooth, professional experience

We are forming a U15 roster (2011) to represent Azuriz FC and GGS in Brazil:

Projected roster: 18 field players + 2 goalkeepers
Club-neutral: We select the best available players regardless of current club
GK focus: Dedicated goalkeeper evaluation block during tryouts

Evaluation criteria:

Technical (first touch, passing, 1v1)
Tactical (decision-making, positioning)
Physical (speed, resilience)
Psychological (coachability, competitiveness)

Evaluation Date: September 26, 2025
Location: Jim Beech Rec Center (1820 AD Mims Rd, Ocoee, FL 34761)
Check-In Time: 6:30 PM
Start Time: 7:00 PM
Format: Check-in, SAQ warm-up, technical stations, positional rondos, SSGs, and match play
What to bring: All athletes must wear a white shirt, black shorts, proper footwear, shin guards, water, and a great attitude

Inclusions (typical): Team lodging, ground transportation, match fees, coaching staff oversight, training kit, and medical support on-site
Exclusions (typical): International airfare (unless otherwise stated), passport/visa fees, personal spending
Passports & visas: A valid passport is required. Visa/e-visa requirements vary by nationality—families are responsible for completing documents on time
Safety: SafeSport-aligned standards, two-deep leadership, daily check-ins, and established medical protocols
