The Competitive program is designed to allow any player the opportunity to play a higher-level competition. This program is for those for those athletes whose desire, natural ability, commitment and  passion for the game, make them want to developed their ability to the highest level they can achieve.

On the Competitive program, all players are coached by professional coaches. Players submit for player placements (tryouts) at the beginning of the season and are placed on teams. At this level, players have made a decision to play competitive soccer and are placed based upon their passion and ability in order to maximize their potential.

All players have the opportunity throughout the program to move up or down a level of play, based on their development. In this case, player movement is possible between teams throughout the year. The program is divided into three divisions:

WHAT DOES GGS SOCCER ACADEMY COMPETITIVE PROGRAM OFFERS?

  • Regular Season: early August till late May

    • Similar to local schools' yearly calendar​

  • Field Practice Frequency: 3-4 sessions per week

  • Performance Program: 2-4 sessions per week​

  • Injury Prevention Program

  • Video Performance Analysis: TRACE

  • Player Evaluation: 2 per year

  • Mid-Year Break

    • U7-U15 - mid December till mid January

    • U16-U19 - mid October till mid-end January

      • Group Training offered to those not playing high school soccer

  • Top level qualified and experienced staff

  • All coaches follow long term age specific program

  • Highly technical development philosophy based on the modern possession game
